DEADLINE FOR COURSE OF THE YEAR NOMINATIONS NEARS
The deadline to submit nominations for 2012 Indiana Course of the Year has been extended to September 9, 2012. Take a look at your operations, or that of an operator you admire, and send a nomination for this prestigious award.

The Indiana award, sponsored by Kenney Machinery Corporation, is based on the following criteria:
      -   exceptional quality of course
      -   exceptional quality of ownership and management
      -   outstanding contribution to the community
      -   significant contribution to the game of golf in area markets
      -   provides a model operation for peers

You need JavaScript enabled to view it no later than September 9, 2011.  Click for more information and a link to the nomination form....  Nominations are reviewed and voted by the INGCOA Board of Directors and the winner will be announced at the 2011 Business Conference.  The Indiana Course of the Year is submitted to NGCOA for consideration of the national title.  The national winner will be announced at the 2012 NGCOA Conference in February in Las Vegas.

2011 GOLF BUSINESS CONFERENCE ANNOUNCED
Mark your calendar now to attend the INGCOA Annual Business Conference November 2-3, 2011 at French Lick. You won't want to miss this dynamic, education and business event titled, Strategies for Surviving Against Economic Odds. Registration is now open for the only regional event of this kind, featuring multiple industry experts addressing golf business issues important in today's economic environment. 

Join other owners from Indiana, Kentucky and Illinois for inspiration and information from representatives of The National Golf Course Owners Association, the World Golf Foundation, Purdue University and other local and regional industry experts.

Once again The Hawthorns proved their ambiance, facilities and staff are unsurpassed in quality, when they hosted the 8th Annual INGCOA Golf Outing, Business Seminar and Field Day on July 25th. Course owners from around the state listened to the lastest details of property tax assessments prior to enjoying a robust lunch provided by US Food Service. Al Martell offered guided tours of The Hawthorns member facilities, while Midwest Golf and Turf and Kenney Machinery Corporation displayed equipment as part of the Field Day event. The awards reception, following a great afternoon of golf, was provided by Jim Ream of Entegra and Gordon Food Service. Thanks to all who participated and made it a fun day and a great event!
