Courses around the state introduce new player development programs to support the industry. The Association thanks those courses who offer clinics and "Learn to Golf" Programs during this time. Growing the game of golf is important to sustain the industry and its contribution to the Indiana economy. Annual Golf Business Conference
The Indiana Golf Course Owners Association annually host the Golf Business Conference the first Wednesday and Thursday in November. This year's event will be November 2-3, 2016 at Ritz Charles in Carmel. The program features informative sessions bringing participants the latest information in best practices, hot button issues, new technologies and fresh perspectives. Plan to join us and industry experts addressing business issues important in today's economic times. Thursday's agenda includes an information-packed tradeshow and annual awards luncheon.

Each year members are encouraged to consider their course, or a course they admire for Indiana Course of the Year designation. This prestigious award is a great way to recognize your family and staff, and the results of hard work, dedication, and successful management.
INGCOA seeks nominations eachyear from members to name an Indiana Course of the Year. Criteria: exceptional quality of course, ownership and management; outstanding contributions to community, and significant contribution to the game. Deadline is July 1 to be considered for the following year.
The Tom Kern Outstanding Contributor Award
At the 2011 Awards Luncheon, Tom Kern, owner of Valle Vista Golf Club in Greenwood, was the inaugural recipient of The Outstanding Contributor Award. Sadly, Tom passed in October of 2012. The Award became The Tom Kern Outstanding Contributor Award to honor Tom's commitment to the inception, development and business success of the Indiana Golf Course Owners Association.
The award recognizes an INGCOA member who has made a substantial contribution to the Indiana Golf Course Owners Association and/or its members.
Errol Klem of Winchester Golf Club received the award at the 2012 Awards Luncheon.
Cathy Moritz, former owner of Shady Hills Golf Course of Marion received the award at the 2015 Awards Luncheon.

Annual Owner/Vendor Golf Outing
The Annual Golf Outing is a fun event and a great opportunity to visit with fellow owners and industry partners to talk about the business of golf while enjoying a day of food, fun and networking on the host course.
The 13th Annual INGCOA Golf Outing will be Monday, July 25, 2016 at River Glen Country Club in Fishers. Event begins at 11:00 a.m.
